Daylily salad

Friday 16 July 2004 - 8:33

En français: Salade aux pétales d'hémérocalle.

Salade-hemerocalles-001.jpgAre you receiving friends this weekend? Or are you invited somewhere? Then surprise everyone by adding delicious edible flower's petals to your salads. Daililies, which are in blooms right now, are just perfect for that!

To use them, harvest some early in the morning, as they just opened, wash them and keep them in a glass of water until you're ready to prepare the salad. Then take off the petals, mix them with some lettuce leaves, add your favorite dressing et voilà! A simple yet impressive salad for your guests or your hosts :)
